Review
Praise for previous editions of Horses
"Covers every vital phase of buying, managing, enjoying, and raising horses. Has step-by-step management procedures,
as well as more technical information for the advanced horse owner, reflecting the latest findings in health care
and research. A good reference for those who race, breed, or ride for pleasure. For everyone from the novice to
the experienced owner.
--Book News
"A remarkably well-done book that covers the topic, in simple language, from A to Z. Contains reams of information
on all aspects of owning and caring for horses, plus some very useful appendices."
--Modern Veterinary Practice
"Evans has accomplished the impossible task of covering every conceivable aspect of horse selection, care
and usage in a concise, well-illustrated book."
--Horses All
"The list goes on and on for the types of information available in this book. In fact, it is an edition that
the reader can progress with, rather than outgrow, because it supplies the basic foundation from which to understand
more technical information which is also presented."
--California Horse Review
"The information it contains would be hard to find in a shelf full of lesser books."
