This concise, case-based workbook helps students learn the patient-management skills demanded by nursing practice
today and tested in continually increasing percentages on the NCLEX? licensing examination. The workbook consists
of three parts plus an answer key. Part 1, written by delegation expert Ruth Hansten, is an introduction that provides
a practical review of clinical delegation skills and serves as a framework for the exercises that follow. Part
2, organized by body system, consists of about 25 NCLEX examination-style questions per chapter. The questions
focus on prioritization, delegation, and assignment in patients who have relatively straightforward health problems.
Part 3 consists of complicated, unfolding cases involving patients who have multiple health conditions, as well
as complex patient assignments. About 10% of the questions in both sections represent the NCLEX exam alternate-item
format.
